Start Strong with Brigade Spring Lacrosse

The spring season kicks off with pre-season clinics in January – the perfect way for players and coaches to dust off gear, sharpen skills, and get ready for the year ahead. In February, we hold Spring Assessments (weather permitting) to thoughtfully place every player on the right team by age and ability. Younger groups (8U & 10U) may have access indoors when facilities are available, while 12U & 14U typically take the turf at Gainesville Middle School.

Once teams are formed, our boys from 8U through 14U dive into an exciting NVYLL Spring Season featuring an 8-game schedule against top clubs across Northern Virginia. Practices begin with one session per week in early March, increasing to two per week as the season ramps up. Weekend games run from late March through the weekend before Memorial Day, with most teams adding two weeknight practices once games begin. New for 2026: all 8U programs will switch to the fast-paced, player-friendly USA Lacrosse Sixes format – more touches, smarter play, and even more fun while building skills for the next level.
